Recall Notice: Safety 1st Push 'n Snap Cabinet Locks


As our children’s safety is my number one priority, I will do my best to stay informed about all children’s product recalls and will share that information with you as it becomes available.  

If you are currently using Safety 1st Push 'n Snap Cabinet Locks, as pictured here,



you should read the following recall notice issued by Dorel Juvenile Group and take the appropriate measures to ensure your child’s safety.

Dorel Juvenile Group (DJG) and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) are conducting a recall of the Safety 1st Push ‘n Snap Cabinet Lock, Model Nos. 48442 and 48391 manufactured prior to December, 2010.

Young children can disengage the cabinet locks, allowing access to cabinet contents and posing the risk of injury due to exposure to dangerous or unsafe items.  Consumers who own a recalled cabinet lock should click on the link below to obtain a free replacement cabinet lock.

Dorel Juvenile Group will contact all registered owners and provide them with information on how to obtain a free replacement cabinet lock.  The affected cabinet lock should not be returned to the retailers.  Consumers with further questions may contact us at 1-866-762-3212 Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM EST or you may email us at cabinetlatch@djgusa.com.
